This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). Candidates can be located within a 2-hour commute from Alexandria, Virginia.

Viderity is seeking a Program Manager – Subject Matter Expert IV to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex programs and projects. The Program Manager is responsible for setting strategic objectives, allocating resources, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring that all program goals are met within the specified timeframe and budget. This role provides leadership, direction, and high-level coordination to project teams across multiple functions and agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, development, and execution of complex programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.
Establish program objectives, success metrics, and detailed project plans.
Manage resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring expectations are met.
Oversee the work of project managers, team leads, and functional teams to ensure program milestones are achieved.
Monitor and report on program progress, including status updates, deliverable quality, and budget adherence.
Identify potential issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure programs comply with federal, state, and organizational regulations and standards.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment across all project areas.
Job requirements
Required Skills:
Minimum of 10 years of program management experience in a technical or operational environment.
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects and programs.
Strong understanding of project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid models).
Expertise in risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder communications.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
Proficient in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent.
Experience supporting Federal Government programs or large government contracts.
Knowledge of government procurement and compliance regulations.
Strong financial management skills, including experience with program budgeting and cost control.
Salary range:
$135,000 – $160,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications)
