This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). Candidates can be located within a 2-hour commute from Alexandria, Virginia.

Viderity is seeking a Task Manager (Task Lead) to oversee specific tasks and activities within complex projects and programs. The Task Manager will coordinate team members, ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and quality standards, track progress, manage risks, and serve as a key point of communication with project stakeholders. This role is essential for ensuring operational efficiency and successful task execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee specific project tasks and activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate daily activities among team members to maintain schedule, scope, and quality standards.

  • Track progress against project timelines and milestones, providing regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Identify risks and issues early, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate critical concerns as needed.

  • Maintain task documentation, schedules, and project tracking tools.

  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and issues are resolved quickly.

  • Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and subject matter experts to ensure task success.

  • Support quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed defined standards.

  • Facilitate meetings, prepare task reports, and contribute to project planning activities.

Job requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience managing tasks or projects in a business, technology, or government contracting environment.

  • Strong project coordination, task tracking, and risk management skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and across multiple levels of an organization.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred.

  • Experience supporting Federal Government programs.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles is a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Salary range:

$110,000 – $135,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications)
