Job description
This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). Candidates can be located within a 2-hour commute from Alexandria, Virginia.

Viderity is seeking a Functional (IT) Specialist to provide task-unique functional expertise necessary to interpret requirements, ensure responsiveness and achieve successful performance. Advises IT consultants with the analysis, evaluation and implementation of systems and other IT tasks. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our internal IT infrastructure, supporting employee systems, and helping to scale our technical capabilities across multiple environments. You’ll partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver seamless IT experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical support to internal users (hardware, software, and systems).
Manage onboarding/offboarding of employees (laptops, access provisioning, etc.).
Maintain and troubleshoot issues related to Windows, macOS, Linux systems, and productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.).
Configure and manage device and endpoint security systems (MDM, antivirus, etc.).
Ensure secure and scalable network infrastructure (VPNs, Wi-Fi, firewalls, etc.).
Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets.
Collaborate with the InfoSec team to enforce IT policies and support audits.
Document standard operating procedures and provide internal training when needed.
Establish program objectives, success metrics, and detailed project plans.
Manage resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring expectations are met.
Oversee the work of project managers, team leads, and functional teams to ensure program milestones are achieved.
Monitor and report on program progress, including status updates, deliverable quality, and budget adherence.
Identify potential issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure programs comply with federal, state, and organizational regulations and standards.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment across all project areas.
Job requirements
Required Skills:
Five (5) years relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of networking, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.
Required Security Clearance:
o Access Level: IT-2 o Sensitivity Level: Non-critical Sensitive
o Type of Investigation: Current Tier 3 (T3) or National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.
DoD 8570.01-M Certification: N/A

Salary range:
$52,700 - $85,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications)
