Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to join our growing digital services team. In this role, you will translate business and user needs into intuitive, engaging, and accessible design solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about user experience, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is adept at designing modern, responsive, and compliant digital interfaces for federal and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Designs an intuitive, 508-compliant interface based on usability testing and federal CX policy.
Develops wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and supports iterative design improvements.
Designs intuitive portals for applicants, reviewers, and administrators.
Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process for web and mobile applications, from discovery through delivery.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design improvements.
Maintain design consistency through component libraries, style guides, and design systems.
Advocate for user-centered design in both technical and non-technical conversations.
Job requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience (federal or consulting experience preferred).
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards (508/WCAG).
Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments with developers and product teams.
Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design processes and impactful project outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, basic JavaScript) is a plus.
Experience working with government clients or within regulated industries is highly desirable.
